    Ramirez et al. studied the flotation of chalcopyrite in the presence of kaolinites of different crystallinity in fresh and seawater at pH 7–12 and evaluated the effect of SHMP as a slime dispersant. They showed that chalcopyrite flotation in freshwater was only depressed at pH 7, and that chalcopyrite flotation was restored with SHMP.
